Founded by Emma with a goal to At the heart of their sock company is a fundamentally great pair of socks. Designed, sourced and made in the UK, from Kelly the knitter, to Caroline the linker, to Liz the woodturner, they know all of our producers personally and can ensure that they are paid properly for their skills. They craft yarn that is no longer serving a purpose into socks to be worn for years.

Every decision they make as a business is evaluated in terms of its ethics and duty to sustainability. As much as they want to make a 100% cotton sock free of manmade fibres, adding nylon is in fact a more sustainable option in terms of creating socks that are made to last. Nylon makes for a stronger sock. They’re in talks to make our next range with a recycled elastane in the cuff. For now, Socko are proud to be 90% good.
